Small Business Love: Waggles Pet Supply
Pixels, like the rest of you fine folks, is quarantined and trying to remain patient, grateful, humbled and empathetic. We’re taking this thing seriously and that recently has taken the form of redoing one of the bathrooms in our house. More on that later…
We thought it would be appropriate, since we are a small business, to highlight some of the small businesses in our area that we love and support, with the hope that you will too. I’m starting with Waggles Pet Supply! Oh how we love these people.
We partnered with Waggles a few years back, and with the help of generous locals, were able to provide 560 lbs of pet food to the Wilkes Animal Shelter. We offered free pet portrait sessions to clients who donated a minimum 15 pound bag of dry pet food to the shelter, and during the two-day event, locals and clients from as far away as Charlotte, N.C., participated.
Pixels has also photographed owner Kim Hatfield and her family (Terri, Rayne, and Journey) for personal portraits on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kim is a close friend of ours and we get all of our sweet dog Chelsea’s supplies from her and it’s her where she gets a bath. We were the very first to take advantage of her curb service during quarantine.

We are at it again, raising donations for the Wilkes Animal Shelter. Have photos taken of or with your adorable dog! All sessions take place inside or outside the Pixels On Paper portrait studio in Wilkesboro and can include up to two pets. Limited sessions are available September through November. From these sessions you will receive one 5×7 print plus a digital download for your time-line and you will be able to order professional prints and products. The price is $75 along with the donation of 20+ pound bag of dry dog food to be donated to the Wilkes Animal Shelter. Call the studio at 336-990-0080 to schedule your session.

Pixels On Paper is teaming up with Waggles Pet Supply and Dog Wash to raise donations for the Wilkes County Animal Shelter! Receive a FREE Pet Christmas Portrait Session and a gift voucher from Waggles for your pet when you donate a 15-20 pound bag of dry pet food.
Bring your pet and donations to Pixels On Paper’s studio on Saturday December 8th or Sunday December 9th for a free pets only photo session in our Christmas scene.

Waggles Pet Supply and Dog Wash has plenty of pet food to choose from to purchase for your donation. Waggles will reward your pet’s good behavior with a voucher for a free treat or toy.

Hard to believe that Fall is here and Halloween is literally just around the corner. It’s OCTOBER ALREADY! In regards to some aspects we’re blown away with how quickly this year has gone by but then it seems a little slower with regards to others (think studio construction).
The BIG news? We are only a matter of weeks away from officially moving into the new studio! We’ll still be shooting on location anywhere and everywhere you can imagine. But the best part is that we will not be in search of indoor locations during the winter months. And we’re really really excited about all the cool backdrops we get to design and stuff that’s going to be re-purposed.
The new studio address:
1198 Curtis Bridge Rd., Wilkesboro NC if you use GPS 1198 Johnson Lane seems to be the key.
Note that initially we will be open by appointment only.
Since we’re already working at the studio, and it’s Halloween time, and you have cuties dressed as a vampires, zombies, princess, super heros and some of you have fur-babies dressed as hot dogs, ghosts and Yoda (you know you’ve seen that one) or whatever they may be… bring them to the Pixels On Paper portrait studio on October 31st between 3pm-7pm for a quick mini-shoot! Sessions will be outdoors (just like the ones in the picture) and be about 15 minutes in length. The fee is $15 for up to 3 children. More than 3, the fee is $10 per additional child. You will receive online viewing of the pictures, and a special 10% off print rate.

Set of 8 wallets: $10 | 5×7: $12 | 8×10: $20 | 11×14 mounted on styrene: $40
Want to know the best part? Simply bring in your receipt from the session when you reserve your spot for your family session and you will receive $25 off your session fee for your family portrait session! Essentially, you are getting this Halloween session free!
The fine details: First come, first serve. Children and pets must be in costumes. This is not a family session, sorry. No additional discounts apply.
