portraits ~ we love faces
It’s true. We love them. So many elements come into play when we take portraits: the location, the purpose, the subjects and the weather if it’s an outdoor session. Ultimately though, it’s about capturing the faces of those we see through our lenses. We want to showcase characteristics, expressions and even the smallest attributes that really shine through.
Years from now, when they look back, we want them to feel connected to that person, to smile, to remember and to feel seen.
We just LOVE FACES.
We also love feet.
But that’s another blog.
We love family portraits whether they are set in the studio, the great outdoors, a specific location like the mountains or high country, or on our property in our outdoor portrait garden. Pixels on Paper photographs, engagements and weddings, brides, and special events and portraits of all kinds in our Wilkesboro, NC studio. baby’s one year cake smash in photos
We are all about capturing memories and creating heirlooms. We say it at the end of every blog. And now that we are parents of a 3 month old, we’re relishing the moments with clients and their Smalls as they check off milestones.
One of our favorites is the One Year Cake Smash portraits where the babes are dressed up to get dirty and their personalities really come out.
Or not. Some are just excited or curious about the sweets provided, but regardless, the outcome is always adorable.
Each child is individual and special, so each cake smash is too. We help decorate based on mood, time of year and fun specifications we discuss with parents. More often than not, we already know the couple because we’ve photographed their engagement, wedding, maternity and newborn photos. Don’t worry though if you’ve never hired us or even heard of cake smash birthday portraits for your children!!
